Interested in an inspiring and fun way to help veterans in your community? Join our Tee It Up for the Troops – Sea Pines 10th anniversary golf event! This local military charity event is held at Sea Pines Country Club in Hilton Head Island, SC. Our events are meant to be fun, while at the same time always remembering the sacrifices our military heroes and their families make daily. Tee It Up for the Troops combines an exciting golf event with an inspiring opening ceremony and tribute to our nation and military and ends the day with a rousing reception and auction to raise more funds for our American heroes. Sponsors, other golfers and veterans enjoy a day on the golf course together and then an exciting reception supporting our veterans and their families.
Did you know that according to VA officials the overall rate of suicides among veterans has held steady at around 22 a day for roughly a decade, but researchers are seeing a troubling increase in the rate of younger veterans taking their lives? The change from battlefront to homefront can be particularly challenging for combat veterans, who often are working through war related PTSD, depression, anxiety and more. Our support for these American Heroes should never end once they come home from war. Corporate and individual sponsorships and donations are needed to help more combat warriors overcome physical, mental, and emotional wounds incurred in the line of duty. Proceeds from this local military charity event go to many local veteran service organizations and national programs like the Tee It Up for the Troops outreach program, “REUNION,” where combat veterans are reunited with their comrades from the battlefield.
