SUMMARY:Serve It Up & Dink It Up for the Troops – Huntington Club - Huntington Beach\, CA
DESCRIPTION:Interested in an inspiring and fun way to help veterans in your community? Join our Tee It Up for the Troops – Huntington Beach tennis and pickleball events! These local military charity events are held at The Huntington Club in Huntington Beach\, CA. Our events are meant to be fun\, while at the same time always remembering the sacrifices our military heroes and their families make daily. Tee It Up for the Troops combines an exciting USTA sanctioned tennis tournament and a pickleball tournament with a rousing community dinner and silent auction on Saturday night all to pay tribute to our nation and military and to raise more funds for our American heroes. \nDid you know that according to VA officials the overall rate of suicides among veterans has held steady at around 22 a day for roughly a decade\, but researchers are seeing a troubling increase in the rate of younger veterans taking their lives? The change from battlefront to homefront can be particularly challenging for combat veterans\, who often are working through war related PTSD\, depression\, anxiety and more. Our support for these American Heroes should never end once they come home from war. Corporate sponsorships and donations are needed to help more combat warriors overcome physical\, mental\, and emotional wounds incurred in the line of duty. Proceeds from this local military charity event go to many local veteran service organizations and national programs like the Tee It Up for the Troops outreach program\, REUNION\, where combat veterans are reunited with their comrades from the battlefield. \nIt’s time to help our veterans get served! You can help our veterans by joining us at our Tee It Up for the Troops – Huntington Beach USTA sanctioned tennis event and pickleball event and give thanks to all those who have served us with such honor! To register\, sponsor or donate to this local military charity event\, please reach out to us via the contact information below. \nContact Information\nClick to email Event Chairperson\nClick here to access event website. \nDonations accepted here. To support this event\, enter Huntington Beach as the name of the event you wish to benefit from your donation.
