PRIOR LAKE, Minn. — Tee It Up for the Troops is proud to recognize Little Six Casino for its generous $10,000 donation in support of combat veterans and their families.

Presented outside Little Six Casino on June 24, the contribution reflects a shared commitment to serving those who have served our country. The gift will help Tee It Up for the Troops continue providing grants to nonprofit organizations across the nation that address the critical needs of veterans, including PTSD and traumatic brain injury treatment, suicide prevention, housing insecurity, family and caregiver support, employment, and sports rehabilitation.

Little Six Casino is owned and operated by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC), a federally recognized Dakota tribe whose mission extends far beyond gaming. Guided by Dakota values of community, stewardship, and generosity, the SMSC has built a legacy of investing in people and strengthening communities throughout Minnesota and across Indian Country. Through its philanthropic initiatives, the Community supports education, healthcare, environmental stewardship, food security, and organizations that improve lives. Its gaming enterprises—including Little Six Casino—serve as economic engines that help make this charitable work possible.

Throughout the year, Tee It Up for the Troops has been proud to support Little Six Casino’s charitable golf events, where Cheryl Anderson, from Tee It Up for the Troops, often brings one of the day’s biggest attractions—the golf ball launcher.

Golfers eagerly line up for the chance to trade their tee shot for a booming “350-yard drive,” adding a little friendly competition and plenty of laughs while helping raise funds for important causes. It’s just one example of how both organizations enjoy coming together to make a positive impact while creating memorable experiences for participants.

Since its founding in 2005, Tee It Up for the Troops has awarded more than $19 million in grants to organizations serving combat veterans and military families, impacting more than 380,000 veterans and family members nationwide. The organization’s mission is made possible through the generosity of partners, sponsors, volunteers, and donors who believe that no veteran should face the challenges of transition, injury, or recovery alone.

The generosity of Little Six Casino demonstrates how businesses and communities can come together to honor service in meaningful ways. This $10,000 gift will directly support programs that empower veterans to overcome challenges, strengthen families, and build hope for the future.
