Thank you to the City Club of Baton Rouge for hosting a Foam of the Brave event to benefit our nation's veterans through Tee It Up for the Troops! Proceeds will benefit the Tee It Up for the Troops which focuses support for veterans on six key pillars: suicide prevention, housing, family support, employment, PTSD & traumatic brain injury treatment, and sports rehabilitation. Tee It Up for the Troops REUNION outreach program reunites battle buddies providing closure, camaraderie, and resources to help transition to fulfilling civilian lives.

This local military charity event is held every year at MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary, NC . The events are meant to be fun, while at the same time raising money to support and honor the sacrifices our military heroes and their families make daily. Tee It Up for the Troops combines an exciting golf event with an inspiring opening ceremony and tribute to our nation and military and ends the day with a rousing reception and auction to raise more funds for our American heroes. Sponsors, other golfers, and veterans enjoy a day on the golf course together and then an exciting reception supporting our veterans and their families.Did you know that according to VA officials the overall rate of suicides among veterans has held steady at around 22 a day for roughly a decade, but researchers are seeing a troubling increase in the rate of younger veterans taking their lives? The change from the battlefront to homefront can be particularly challenging for combat veterans, who often are working through war-related PTSD, depression, anxiety, and more. Our support for these American Heroes should never end once they come home from war. Corporate and individual sponsorships and donations are needed to help more combat warriors overcome physical, mental, and emotional wounds incurred in the line of duty. Proceeds from this local military charity event go to many local veteran service organizations and national programs like the Tee It Up for the Troops outreach program, REUNION, where combat veterans are reunited with their comrades from the battlefield.

back on course!Please join us for the 3rd annual Tee It Up for the Troops event on the Outlaw Course at Desert Mountain Club as we honor all U.S. military service members and support all those who have sacrificed so much to serve our nation.
This will surely be a memorable day as we are honored to have Medal of Honor recipients on-site for this event! The Medal of Honor is our nation’s highest and most prestigious military award that recognizes gallantry and acts of valor above and beyond the call of duty. There are only 67 living Medal of Honor recipients at this time.
Each sponsored foursome will be joined by a Medal of Honor recipient or a local combat wounded veteran!
This very special Phoenix charity golf event will include an impactful opening ceremony, a great day of golf, a fabulous post-event reception with presentations by the Medal of Honor attendees, and an auction featuring amazing items.

The change from the battlefront to the home front can be particularly challenging for combat veterans, who often are working through war-related PTSD, depression, anxiety, and more. through this member-guest golf event to benefit Tee It Up for the Troops! Tee It Up for the Troops was founded in 2005 with the mission to honor, remember, respect, and support those who serve(d) in our nation's armed forces. We believe that support for America's heroes was never meant to end once they come home. For many, a whole new battle begins once they leave the service which is why we are proud to support active duty servicemembers and veterans of all eras. Tee It Up for the Troops events raise funds that support national and local veteran service organizations helping veterans through 6 key pillars: PTSD & traumatic brain injury support, suicide awareness & prevention, housing & homelessness, veteran employment, family support, sports rehabilitation.
A portion of the funds raised will also support the Tee It Up for the Troops REUNION outreach program. REUNION reunites combat veterans who were separated, often due to battlefield injuries bringing battle buddies and their caregivers together for a healing event that aims to help combat veterans transition to fulfilling civilian lives.
Tee It Up for the Troops is dedicated to maximum transparency and fiscal responsibility. We have received high-ratings from Charity Watchdogs such as Charity Navigator (100/100), Guidestar (Platinum rating), and Great-Nonprofits (Top-Rated). Our administrative costs average <6% and our high level of volunteer engagement ensures as much money as possible goes directly to supporting veterans and their families.

You may recall that "The Longest Day" was a famous book and movie starring John Wayne honoring those who fought for our freedom on D-Day. The Longest Day of Golf for the Troops is a unique opportunity for Americans to honor and support all who serve(d) and fought for our freedom.
Northern Bay Golf Resort and Marina, located just north of the Wisconsin Dells in Wisconsin, is proud to participate in the Longest Day of Golf to support Tee It Up for the Troops. Derek Donovan, Head Golf Professional, is a proud supporter of Tee It Up for the Troops and will be leading the charge in this military charity golf event at Northern Bay. Participants will "Tee It Up" at the crack of dawn and play until sundown to raise money to support America’s combat veterans.
This event provides the community and Northern Bay guests with an opportunity to "STEP UP TO THE TEE" to support those who STEPPED UP to defend our freedom, "As we work and live at such a beautiful resort, we have so much to be thankful for." says Derek Donovan. "We are forever indebted to those who have served in the military....their heroism sometimes gets taken for granted...but on this day on the golf course we will appreciate the freedoms our veterans have sacrificed for and offer them gratitude."
Proceeds from this event will support the Tee It Up for the Troops' REUNION outreach program that reunites combat veterans and their caregivers at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Florida. The VA and mental health professionals have touted the benefits of reuniting combat veterans with their battle buddies to discuss their days of service, injuries and post military struggles. The bonds forged in war serve to help them survive - and ultimately thrive - upon returning home.
