According to VA officials, the overall rate of suicides among veterans has held steady at around 22 a day for roughly a decade. Yet researchers are seeing a troubling increase in the rate of younger veterans taking their lives. Transitioning from battlefront to homefront can be particularly challenging for combat veterans, who often battle PTSD, depression, anxiety, and more. Our support for these American Heroes should never end once they come home from war. That’s why we need corporate and individual sponsorships and donations to help more combat warriors overcome the physical, mental, and emotional wounds incurred in the line of duty.
