Tee it up for the Troops is a grassroots organization that cares deeply for our veterans. We support all branches of the military and all conflicts, past and current. Our story begins with a conversation between a father and a son. A soldier, deployed in Iraq, was asked by his father what he needed and the son responded by asking his father to “do something for the soldiers and their families back home”.
Why Golf? Divots can be Replaced. FREEDOM Cannot.
In 2005, Tee it up for the Troops started a golf event to raise funds to support our veterans and their families. Since golf is one of America’s favorite pastimes we felt what better way to honor our military than by hosting a day of golf to appreciate and recognize the freedoms they have fought for by playing on some of the best real estate in the country. Around the world brave men and women of the US Armed Forces have sacrificed and are still sacrificing their lives in pursuit of this very freedom we enjoy. Their bravery and selfless serving is the reason Tee it up for the Troops is committed to honor, respect and remember our brave members of the United States military.
