The Longest Day of Golf for the Troops
Looking for a flexible, meaningful way to support veterans—wherever you are?
Tee It Up for the Troops invites you to participate in The Longest Day of Golf for the Troops, a unique golf fundraiser that empowers individuals and small groups to raise funds for combat veterans without needing to attend or organize a formal event.
Inspired by the historic D-Day tribute The Longest Day, this campaign pays homage to the courage and sacrifice of those who have served in the military. The name draws from Cornelius Ryan’s acclaimed book and the epic 1962 film adaptation, both of which chronicle the 24 hours of June 6, 1944—D-Day—when Allied forces launched the largest seaborne invasion in history to begin the liberation of Europe.
In that same spirit of endurance, teamwork, and commitment, participants in this event take on their own “longest day” by golfing as many holes as possible. Players gather pledges in support of their marathon effort, turning every dollar raised into support for our nation’s veterans and military families.
Proceeds from the Longest Day of Golf for the Troops support our REUNION Outreach Program that reunites combat veterans, helping them transition from the battlefront to the home front.
